Well-being check-ins from Chap
Classed Inc. · Effective September 16, 2026
Texts are off by default. Chap is an automated assistant run by your school’s Student Success team through Classed. This page is where you opt in to its well-being check-in texts. The form below is the only way to opt in. It is optional, it is separate from your Classed account, and skipping it changes nothing about your access to Classed or to your school’s services. Chap texts a few times a month; message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help. Your mobile number and your opt-in choices are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
How to opt in
Enter the mobile number that will receive texts, check the one consent box beneath it (it is unchecked until you check it), and tap Turn on text messages. Submitting records the number, the consent wording you saw, and the time; only that number can be texted, and only by Chap. If you leave the box unchecked, nothing is recorded and no texts are sent. Nothing else opts you in: not creating a Classed account, not accepting the Terms of Service, not enrolling at your school, and not replying to or chatting with Chap.
1.What you will receive
Chap texts a few times a month to ask how you are doing, usually on a 1 to 5 scale, and follows up with campus resources such as tutoring, advising, counseling, or financial aid. Chap identifies itself as automated in its first message and whenever asked. Replies that suggest you need help are flagged to a named member of your school’s Student Success team, who follows up personally. Chap never gives medical or clinical advice, and nothing is sold or promoted.
Chap is not an emergency service. In a crisis, call or text 988(Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or call 911.
Example:“Classed: Quick check-in from Chap, [First name]. How are you feeling about this semester so far? Reply 1 (struggling) to 5 (great).”
2.Opting out and getting help
Reply STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT to any message to opt out. You will receive one confirmation text and nothing further from this number. If you later want the check-ins back, reply START to the confirmation. Reply HELP or INFO for help, or email support@classedcampus.com. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
3.Student Success texts are a separate program
Reminders and messages from your success coach use a different phone number and have their own opt-in page at classedcampus.com/sms. Opting in to Chap does not opt you in to those texts, and opting in to those texts does not opt you in to Chap.
4.Privacy and terms
See our Privacy Policy (section 9, Text messages) and Terms of Service (section 10, Text messages) for how your information is handled.
