Community Guidelines

Everyone on Classed is a real member of your school community. Harassment, bullying, intimidation, and hate have no place here. That includes attacks on someone’s race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or immigration status — in posts, messages, group chats, stories, polls, or anywhere else in the app.

Disagreement is fine; classes run on it. Piling on a person isn’t. If a conversation stops being about the idea and starts being about the person, step back or use Block.

Never post threats of violence, content that encourages self-harm, or content that sexualizes anyone without consent. Never share intimate images of another person. If you or someone you know is struggling, the app’s Wellness resources can connect you with help — in the U.S., call or text 988for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, any time.

Don’t share other people’s private information — a person’s schedule, address, phone number, photos of them in private moments — without their consent. What’s visible to you as a classmate is not yours to broadcast.

Classed exists to make classes work better, not to work around them. Don’t use class chats, boards, or file sharing to distribute exam material, completed assignments for submission by others, or anything else your school’s academic integrity policy prohibits. Your school’s honor code applies inside Classed the same way it applies in the classroom.

Be yourself. Don’t impersonate classmates, professors, staff, clubs, or Classed itself, and don’t misrepresent who a post or message comes from. No spam, scams, pyramid schemes, or deceptive links. Only post content you have the right to share.

Don’t use Classed to arrange, promote, or celebrate illegal activity, including the sale of drugs or weapons. Content involving the sexual exploitation of minors is reported to authorities — always, without exception.

Every post, message, and profile has a report option, and you can block anyone from their profile. Reports go to people authorized to review them. Depending on what we find, we may remove content, limit features, suspend or close accounts, and — where school policy or safety requires it — involve your school.

Reporting is confidential. Retaliating against someone for reporting is itself a violation of these guidelines.

These guidelines work alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, and alongside your school’s own codes of conduct — nothing here replaces them. We may update these guidelines as the community grows; the effective date above always reflects the current version.
